She had heard of the presence of rock salt known as natural salt in Çankırı. It was said that the rock salt extracted from the caves had 5,000 years of history. This salt, the first examples of which were found during the Hittite period, was also said to be useful in the treatment of asthma and psychological disorders at the present. With this knowledge, she also visited the Salt Cave, which is 20 km east of Çankırı. The structure that became cooler as she went inwards provided her with peace and relief. Before she left the city, she bought souvenirs made of rock salt for her beloved ones. She understood that the rock salt, which symbolized naturalness at the tables and is displayed as night lamps and ornaments on show windows, was an important element for Çankırı. This city continued to astonish her.
