While the sun shining through the clouds was striking the fairy chimneys, its shadow was reflected on the Devrez Creek. He travelled about 75 kilometers from Çankırı and came to Sakaeli village of Orta district. He continued for 3 km by car until he heard the voice of the Devrez Creek flowing between the two slopes called “Muslim” and “Gavur Castles” and reached fairy chimneys, declared as the 1st-degree archaeological site. He was quite impressed with the rock settlements of the area, which was believed to be one of the oldest settlements, had pebble sedimentary rocks feature and that its surface consisted of about 130 rocks.
