After taking lessons from Turkestani scholars, Seyit Hacı Murad-ı Veli lived in the vicinity of Hijaz, Damascus and Urfa, then, settled in Seydi village in Çankırı in 1187. The village was named as “Seydi” with the settlement of Seyit Hacı Murad-ı Veli in the village. Hacı Murad-ı Veli as a scholar, hero and fighter of Horasan gained a reputation in a short period and guided people. He was glad that the culture of cooperation and cohesion was revived in the Hacı Murad-ı Veli Complex that hosted Eldivan Cherry Festival in June in each year in the guesthouse in it.
